As the Founding Director of Etch, Kristina brings over 15 years of dedicated experience in education, having held diverse roles in both public and independent schools. Kristina has served as a Science Department Chair, Health & Wellness Coordinator, Advisor, and Grade Team Leader, accumulating a wealth of knowledge and a deep understanding of the multifaceted aspects of school administration. Currently, in addition to founding and directing Etch, Kristina is actively engaged in teaching biology, chemistry, and middle school science for an online consortium of independent schools, ensuring that her insights into pedagogy and curriculum development remain current and applicable.
Kristina's educational journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Adolescent Education from St. John Fisher University, laying the foundation for her commitment to quality science education. Building upon this foundation, she pursued a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Teaching from Teachers College, Columbia University, further honing her expertise in curriculum design and instructional strategies. With a passion for fostering innovative and inclusive learning environments, Kristina is dedicated to empowering educators, students, and parents alike.
